Program structure

Six tiers.
You set the depth.

Each tier is a superset of the one below — except Steward, which attaches to Continuum or Terminus. Enter anywhere; upgrade at the difference. Downgrading stops future capture but never deletes an existing archive.

Tier 00

Echo

$0 — free, forever

Start the archive now, decide later. A self-serve repository. Upload documents, photographs, message exports, voice notes; answer a rotating daily prompt — "What did your father's kitchen smell like?" Everything is ingested into the same provenance ledger the paid tiers use. Nothing is synthesised.

Echo is free because corpus depth dominates every fidelity metric. Someone who archives for six years before buying Voice gets a materially better persona than someone who buys Presence cold. Time in the archive is the product improvement.

Deliverable

  • Searchable, exportable life archive
  • Rotating daily memory prompt
  • Full provenance record per artifact
  • Export at any time, in full
  • At 200 items: a 90-second sample of your own synthesised voice reading one of your own memories back to you

Tier 01

Voice

$2,400 + $19/mo

The minimally invasive tier. Your voice, answering questions about things you actually told us.

The canonical interaction: "Do you remember taking me skiing at Crystal Mountain when I was nine?" — and it answers in his voice, with the detail that it rained, that the chains were a nightmare on the pass, and that they ate at the same diner both days. And when it doesn't have the evidence, it says so the way he would: "I don't think you ever told me that one."

Does not: show a face, learn after death, or hold opinions on anything post-mortem.

Capture — ~14 hours over 6 weeks

3 h studio audio

Phonetically balanced scripts, emotional range, laughter, hesitation, your specific filler words.

9 h guided interview

Twelve life domains — childhood, work, marriage, children, turning points, opinions, grudges, recipes.

2 h family-sourced prompts

Your recipients submit the questions they will actually ask. Best single predictor of satisfaction.

Tier 02

Presence

$11,500 + $59/mo

Everything in Voice, plus your face — in real-time conversation. Multi-angle 4K capture of your full expression set, speech-locked visemes, characteristic gestures, the way you use your hands, your resting face.

A photogrammetric head scan plus your historical photographs let the family choose the age they see. Most choose late fifties, not final months. This matters more than anyone expects.

Delivers fidelity band F2 — sustains a fifteen-minute conversation with a family member without breaking character or confabulating.

Deliberate constraint

Presence personas render with a persistent, non-removable provenance indicator on every exported video. Families will ask us to remove it — to send a grandchild a "real" birthday message, to surprise a relative. The answer is no. We will not ship an unmarked deepfake of a dead person. That mark is the difference between a memorial and a forgery, and once we ship the first unmarked export there is no principled place left to stop.

Longitudinal option

Quarterly two-hour sessions, so the model tracks you as you age rather than freezing you at signup.

Tier 03

Continuum — the head net

$48,000 + $180/mo · 200-day protocol

A 256-channel dry-electrode conformal head net with integrated fNIRS optodes and motion sensing, worn at home. Not a medical device. Not implanted. Removable at will, by you, at any moment.

Hardware

EEG256 dry electrodes, 10-5 layout, 24-bit, 1 kHz/ch
fNIRS32 source / 32 detector, 760 & 850 nm, 10 Hz
Motion9-axis IMU at vertex + sternal reference
EyeBinocular IR, 120 Hz (visor accessory)
SubstrateAuxetic elastomer lattice, 6 size grades
Power14 h continuous, hot-swap cells

Protocol — 200 days

PhaseDaysWear
Baseline1–142 h / day
Elicitation15–12090 min / day
Naturalistic121–1803 h × 3 days/wk
Validation181–2002 h / day

Adherence, not signal quality, is the binding constraint. A comfortable net worn for 200 days beats a superb net abandoned on day 40.

Concurrent data harvest — L2, each stream separately toggled

Email and message history · browser and search history · purchase records · streaming and listening history · location trace · calendar · photo library with EXIF · wearable biometrics · keystroke dynamics and typing rhythm · document authorship history.

Ambient audio is off by default and gated separately — it records third parties who did not consent. Enabling it requires documented household notification and on-device speaker diarisation that discards non-subject speech before anything leaves your house.

Tier 04 · add-on

Steward

+$36,000 · 0.45 %/yr to trustee

People ask us for an AI that takes over their legal life and assets. We have to tell them the truth: that cannot be built. An AI has no legal personality. It cannot inherit, be an executor, hold title, or contract. A will devising assets to a software system fails.

What does achieve the intent is a directed trust with a licensed fiduciary who is contractually obliged to consult your persona — and to document what it said — before defined categories of discretionary decision.

Your stated values keep shaping your estate, in your voice, on the record, for decades. The difference is that this version is enforceable and survives a challenge from a disappointed heir.

Non-negotiables

  • Legal title is held by a licensed human or corporate trustee. Always.
  • The persona's role is advisory and non-binding. The trustee may overrule it, and must record why.
  • Trigger categories are enumerated in the instrument — not "everything".
  • Every recommendation enters the trust record with its evidence bindings.
  • A human protector may suspend the advisory role if fidelity degrades.

Tier 05

Terminus

$195,000 + $240/mo · includes Continuum in full

A post-mortem structural programme. The highest-resolution physical record of a specific human brain that current science can produce, held in trust indefinitely.

Read this before anything else

This is not revival, and it is not upload. No technology known to us reconstructs a mind from preserved neural structure, and none may ever. The gain to your persona's fidelity over Continuum alone is real but modest. This tier is bought by people who want the physical record to exist against a future nobody can promise. We put that in writing at the top of the agreement, in the same size type as everything else, and anyone who won't sign that acknowledgement is refused the tier.

Post-mortem sequence

StandbyContracted team on standby from hospice admission
Fixation≤ 4 h post-arrest — glutaraldehyde perfusion via carotids
CryoprotectionGraded cryoprotectant → vitrification, −135 °C
StorageMonitored, insured, indefinite
SectioningUltramicrotome, serial ultrathin
Imaging18–30 months — volume EM, expansion microscopy
ReconstructionAutomated segmentation → regional connectome

Post-mortem interval dominates everything — quality falls off a cliff after roughly six hours. Unattended death is the largest real risk in this tier, and the standby contract is most of what the fee actually buys.

Required before enrolment

  • Signed anatomical gift under the applicable Uniform Anatomical Gift Act
  • Documented independent capacity assessment
  • Next-of-kin notification (notification, not consent)
  • Standby logistics contract in place
  • 30-day reflection period — Terminus cannot be bought same-day

Anatomical-gift offset — up to $14,000

Where you also make a whole-body or research-tissue anatomical gift, documented cost recovery from the recovery partner offsets program expense, credited against your fee and itemised on the invoice.

No tissue is ever sold for transplant, and no profit is derived from tissue. Paying for organs is a felony under 42 U.S.C. §274e and its equivalents worldwide, and consent does not cure it. Our full position →
